  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups plain unbeached flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Step 1

Grease bottom only of 8x4 or 9x5 loaf pan. Cream sugar and butter, beat in eggs, blend in buttermilk. Stir in dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour batter in to pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
