Ingredients

  • 4 eggs well beaten
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c unsifted flour
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1 c melted butter (it can be softened - doesn't have to be melted)
  • 1 c finely chopped pecans
  • 2 T vanilla
  • cool whip or whipped topping

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees, beat eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa and
salt until well blended. Mix in butter. Add pecans and vanilla. Pour
into a 9X9 pan. Set the pan in a bigger pan and pour water (about 1-2 cups) into the larger pan and bake 45 minutes or until it is custard-like. The top will be more crusty than the bottom. Cool on a wire rack 20 minutes. Refrigerate and cut into squares. Serve with cool whip or whipped topping.
