Ingredients
- 2 LBS FROZEN HASH BROWNS (GRATED OR SQUARE) ALMOST THAWED
- 2 CANS CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP
- 2 CUPS SOUR CREAM
- 2 CUPS GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE
- 1/2 CUP CHOPPED ONION OR 1/2 TEASPOON POWDER
- DASH SALT
- 1 STICK OF MARGARINE (OR BUTTER) MELTED
- 2 CUPS SPECIAL K CEREAL (OR CORN FLAKES)
- NOTE: First, it takes 2 lbs frozen Hash Browns....The package is not 2 lbs though....Have to buy a second bag to get to the 2 lbs......or you can use a 2 lb Bag of Southern style (little tiny squares) plain or with onions/peppers, your preference...

Preparation
Step 1
THAW THE HASH BROWNS.
MIX SOUP, SOUR CREAM, CHEESE AND ONIONS, AND SALT. POUR INTO THE MOSTLY THAWED HASH BROWNS AND MIX. PUT IN A 9 X 13 INCH BAKING PAN.
MELT MARGARINE AND COMBINE WITH 2 CUPS OF PARTIALLY CRUSHED CEREAL. PUT CEREAL MIXTURE ON TOP OF HASHBROWN MIXTURE.
BAKE AT 375 WITH FOIL COVERING TOP FOR 20 MINUTES.
REMOVE FOIL AND FINISH BAKING FOR 20-30 MINUTES.
