PUMPKIN BREAD

Ingredients

  • Sift together:
  • Mix in a large bowl 4 cups sugar, 4 cups pumpkin, and 1 cup oil.
  • -
  • 5 cups flour
  • 5 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon all-spice
  • -
  • Mix the above and add:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Grease and flour sides and bottom of four 1 pound coffee cans. Divide mixture equally in four cans. Bake 1 hour and 5 minutes at 350deg. Put lids on while hot. May be frozen in cans.
