Ingredients

  • 1 cup starter
  • 1/2 cup corn oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 6 cups bread flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and let sit for 12 hours. Knead for 5 minutes. Divide into 3 parts. Put into greased pans and set in a warm place for 12 hours. When raised, bake at 350deg for 25 minutes. May slice immediately if using an electric knife.

FOOD FOR STARTER: (feed every 3 to 6 days):
3 tablespoons instant potatoes
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup plain flour
1 cup warm water (added last)

Mix and put back in refrigerator after letting set at room temperature for at least 12 hours.
