Mom's Fudge

This is the old-fashioned fudge Mom used to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 T. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. whole milk
  • 2 T. white Karo syrup
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • Chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Boil til chewy ball forms in cold water-20 minutes--don't stir a whole lot, but make sure it doesn't burn on bottom of pan.
Add butter, vanilla, nuts

Beat until creamy.
Pour into buttered 8 x 8 pan.
