Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 3 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 6 Tbsp Shortening
  • 2/3 Cups Milk
  • 2 Tbsp softened butter
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Sift dry ingredients together, and cut in shortening. Stir in milk mix well.
Roll dough 1/4" thick into a rectangle shape 7"x16"
Spread with 2 Tbsp softened butter, sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon. (raisins if desired)
Roll tightly as for Jelly Roll, Seal edge by pinching together. Cut into 1" slices. Place cut side down on greased baking sheet or muffin tin.
Bake for 15 minutes @ 425 degrees.
