Rice With Sour Cream And Green Chilies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of regular rice
  • 1 can of green chilies, chopped and drained
  • or 1 bag of frozen chilies, peeled and seeded
  • lb. Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cups dairy sour cream
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Preparation

Step 1

Cook rice according to package directions. Combine rice, chilies, about three-fourths of the cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper. Mix lightly but thoroughly. Place in 2 qt. Casserole. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Dot with butter. Bake, uncovered, in oven preheated to 350 degrees about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
