Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp. dehydrated chives
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 cup biscuit baking mix
  • 1 tbsp. cold unsalted butter cut into thin slices
  • 12 cubes sharp ceddar cheese, well chilled

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 400. Line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside. Combine milk, chives, dill and sugar in small bowl. Stir well; set aside five minutes.

2. Place biscuit mix in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coars crumbs. Add milk mixture; stir gently to form soft sticky dough. Divide dough equally into 12 walnut sized balls. Genlty push 1 cheese cube into each ball and form dough around cube, sealing well. Place on prepared baking sheet.

3. bake 12 to 14 minutes until biscuits are golden. Transfer biscuits to wire rack to cool slightly. Serve hot or warm.
