Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (or 1 pouch)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in water. Add flour and salt and mix well. Knead for 3-5 minutes in the bowl.

Let dough rest for 10 minutes and then turn it out on a lightly floured surface, rolling it out for one large pizza or three small individual pizzas.

TIP: This recipe can easily be doubled or even tripled to make additional pizzas or to freeze for later.

To prepare pizza:

Lightly oil a pizza pan or stone and sprinkle with cornmeal. Transfer dough to the pan and gently press in place. Top with sauce, cheese and any additional toppings you like.

Bake 375°or 20-25 minutes (15 minutes for individual pizzas).

yield: 1 large or 3 individual pizzas

shelf life: use immediately or freeze the dough balls for up to 2 months
