  • Beef or chicken bones
  • Water
  • 2 T - 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, lemon juice or a cheap white wine (something acidic)
  • Bay leaves
  • Chopped onions
  • Garlic
  • Peppercorns

Step 1

Cover the carcass with water and add the acidic medium. The rest of the ingredients are optional and not necessary, just adds to the flavor of the broth. Put it on the stove and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn down to medium- low and let simmer for 12-24 hours. Bones should disintegrate. Strain the broth and you are done.
