Sour Cream Coffee Cake

An easy to make and delicious coffee cake; introduced to us by Anita Runge Watts, this has become a family standard.

Ingredients
- Cake
- 1/4 pound margarine (one stick)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
- Topping
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Cream together margarine and sugar. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture along with eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add sour cream and mix until well blended.
Use a greased and floured tube pan. Make alternate layers of batter and topping in the pan, beginning with batter and ending with topping.
Bake 350 F about 45 minutes or until cake tests done with a cake tester.
