Elegant Garlic Chicken for Two

Ingredients
- 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts or 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf, broken in half
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup sour cream

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in medium skillet over medium. Add garlic and sauté just until golden, about 2 minutes; remove from pan.
Add chicken to pan and cook about 7 minutes, turning to brown on all sides. Place onion slices on bottom of skillet under chicken; add cloves and bay leaf. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper; return garlic to pan and pour wine over chicken. Cover, reduce temperature to low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until chicken is done (internal temp 170°F).
Remove chicken to serving plates and keep warm. Increase temperature to medium; cook and stir pan drippings until reduced to about 1/2 cup. Add sour cream; cook and stir about 2 minutes or until warm. Do not boil.
To serve, spoon sauce over chicken.
