Ingredients
- For alternate crust:
- 1 - 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2-3/4 c finely chopped onion (sweet)
- 1-2 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 1/3 c dill pickle juice
- 1/3 c milk
- 1/2-1 c dill pickle, finely chopped
- 2-2 1/2 c cheese, shredded
- 1 pkg refrigerated pie crust
- Optional: 3/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce instead of 1/3 cup milk.
- Crumbled cooked bacon for bacon cheeseburger.
- 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oven to 425*.
Place pie crust in glass pie pan (prick bottom of shell),bake for approx 15mins.
Cook and brown beef (broken up into small pieces), onion, garlic in 10 inch skillet until brown; drain off grease.
Sprinkle with salt and flour.
Stir in pickle liquid, milk, pickles and 1-1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese.
Spoon into pie shell.
Bake 15 mins; sprinkle the rest of shredded cheese over top.
Bake until crust is golden brown, about 5 mins longer.
Alternate recipe-using Bisquick mix--not using a pie crust:
Cook and brown beef (broken up into small pieces), onion, garlic in 10 inch skillet until brown; drain off grease.
Sprinkle with salt and flour.
Stir in pickle liquid, milk ( or ketchup or BBQ sauce), pickles.
Spoon into pie plate.
Sprinkle with cheese.
In a small bowl, stir Bisquick™ mix, milk and eggs until blended.
Pour over pie plate.
Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
