Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Set the oven for 350 degrees. Butter a 9 X 13 pan and dust it with flour. In the bowl of electric mixer, cream the butter. Add the sugar and beat for 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla. Mix in the flour, baking powder and salt.
In the removed bowl, stir in the pecans and chocolate chips with a spatula. Put in pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the edges are set and the middle is just firm when pressed with a fingertip.
