Ingredients
- 1 box (1 lb) penne pasta, cooked as directed, drained and kept hot
- 2 tbsp butter, or margarine
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 3 ⁄4 cup chicken broth, or beef broth
- 3 ⁄4 cup milk
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 1 ⁄3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 salt, to taste
- 1 pepper, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a medium sauce pan, melt butter or margarine and add garlic.
Cook over medium heat for 1 minute.
Add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in broth and milk and cook, stirring frequently, until sauce boils and thickens.
Add parsley, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.
Stir until cheese is melted.
Toss hot pasta with sauce and serve immediately.
