Ingredients
- YORKSHIRE PUDDING
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Dumplings for Stew
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp shortening
- 1 egg (if desired)
- 3/4 cup milk

YORKSHIRE PUDDING
Mix salt and flour, add milk gradually to make a smooth paste (beating with egg beater) add eggs and beat 2 minutes. Have muffin pans hissing hot with butter or beef drippings. Pour batter into pan and bake in hot oven 450 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Decrease heat as baking is accomplished.
DUMPLINGS
Sift all ingredients twice into a bowl then add 2 Tbsp shortening. Mix with blender. Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients and add ¾ cup milk. Add 1 egg if desired. Mix well and drop into hot stew. Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.
