Ingredients

2.5 sticks butter
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
0.5 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup baking cocoa

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Mix thoroughly.

Add chopped nuts, chocolate chips or raisins as desired. Drop by rounded spoonful on lightly grased cookie sheets. These spread a lot, so space them well. Bake 350 F for 8 minutes.
