- 30 mins
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops {bones removed}
- 1 TB fat of choice
- 1 TB Saigon cinnamon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Himalayan sea salt or Real Salt
- 2 small white sweet potatoes, sliced thin
- 1 apple, cored, and sliced thin
- 1 cup Plum Butter, divided
Preparation
Step 1
If using oven, preheat to 325 F. If using slow cooker, turn it on low.
In bottom of crock {whether oven-safe prepared crock or slow cooker crock}, spread ½ cup Plum Butter, top with sweet potato slices, and apple slices. Season with salt.
Heat fat in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, massage spices and salt into chops. Sear the pork chops on both sides, about 2 minutes. Also giving the sides a quick sear.
Set seared chops atop apple layer and spread remaining Plum Butter on top. Cover and cook 2-3 hours {or 6 hours on low in slow cooker} until potatoes are fork tender.
Serve immediately.
