Oyster Stew

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 1/2 tsps. salt
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- dash bottled hot pepper sauce
- 1 pint fresh shucked oysters, undrained
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 4 cups milk, scalded

Step 1
In large saucepan blend flour, water, salt, worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Add undrained oysters and the 1/4 cup butter. Simmer over very low heat for 3-4 mins or til edges of oysters curl, stirring gently. Add hot milk; remove from heat and cover. Let stand 15 mins. Reheat briefly. Top with pats of butter. If desired garnish by floating rich oyster crackers atop stew. Makes 4-5 servings.
