Ingredients

  • Pastry:
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 pkg. (3 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • Filling:
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 TB butter
  • 1 TB vanilla
  • Dash of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and cheese, add flour and mix. Chill one hour. Form into balls and shape with thumb in tassie pans (miniature muffin tin) as you would for individual pies. Or use a wooden dowel to form a pond. Sprinkle chopped pecans on bottom of crust.

Filling:
Mix well and put 1 TB over nuts in tassie pan. Place pecan half on top or sprinkle top with chopped pecans. Bake at 325 degrees about 25 to 30 minutes. Do Not grease tassie pans. Remove to a cooling rack before tassies cool.
