Jewish Apple Cake - Dessert

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 t baking powder
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • Juice of 1 large orange
  • 3 large apples

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first 7 ingredients and beat med. speed 5 mins. Peel and slice apples. Grease tube pan. Pour in 1/2 of batter, arrange 1/2 of apple slices. Mix 1/2 cup sugar & 1 t cinnamon. Cover apples with half of sugar mixture. Repeat, ending with sugar mixture. Bake 15 mins. at 450 deg., then 1 hour 15 mins. at 350 deg.
