Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 jar (3-1/2 ounces) macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup white baking chips

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts and chips.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: about 4-1/2 dozen.
