Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or shortening, chilled
  • 3 tbsp ice water

Step 1

1. Whisk flour and salt together. Cut in butter/shortening until coarse crumbs. Drizzle 2-3 tbsp ice water over flour. Toss mix with fork to moisten, adding few drops ice water at a time until the dough comes together.

2. Gather in a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 30 minutes minimum

3. Roll dough. Put in pie plate, fill and bake.
