  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 Tbs butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup finely chopped, peeled apple
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 304 calories

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Coat a 9 inch round pan with cooking spray and dust with flour.
3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir with a whisk. Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg. Beat in flour mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Fold in apples, raisins, and walnuts. Scrape batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan on a wire rack. Remove from pan, cool completely and sift powdered sugar over cake.
