Ingredients

  • 1 beet including greens
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 1 red delicious

Preparation

Step 1

Always wash food thoroughly prior to juicing. Cut off brown edges, etc.

According to the National Cancer Institute carrots and beet greens are among the many fruits and vegetables that contain nutrients that are effective in fighting cancer i.e.; Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Beta-carotene, Vitamin B2, Selenium, Iron, to name a few. Carrots can reduce your odds of contracting colon cancer and research points to beets for treating lung cancer.

Also per NCI cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and kale contain substances that may reduce the growth of cancer by regulating enzymes that help prevent cancer.

The NCI advises eating plenty of fiber in foods like apples to move cancer-causing compounds out of the body before they cause harm.

Just eating right in general with fresh fruits and vegetables can do a wealth of good!
