  • 10 pounds ground beef
  • 5 pounds ground veal
  • 18 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • fresh bread crumbs
  • Italian parsley, chopped
  • Romano cheese, grated

Step 1

Loosen up the ground beef with your hands. Mix in the ground veal. Whisk eggs together and add to meat mixture. Gently mix in the eggs, seasonings, bread crumbs, and parsley. Add Romano cheese and enough water make it easy to form meat balls. Form balls from about 1/2 cup of mixture. Put on sheet pan with sides and pour water in around the meat balls about 1/2 inch deep in an aluminum foil covered pan. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
