Ingredients

  • 250 ml desiccated coconut
  • 250 ml caramel brown sugar
  • 250 ml self-raising flour
  • 125 g butter/margarine melted
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 30 g butter/margarine extra
  • 30 ml syrup
  • 150 g melted milk chocolate
  • 20 g butter/margarine melted

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F)
2. Line an 18x28cm baking pan with foil
and grease lightly
3. Combine first 4 ingredients well
together. Press into prepared pan
4. Bake for 10 min
5. Meanwhile, heat condensed milk,
30g butter and syrup together,
stirring all the time, for 5 min
6. Spread over base. Bake a further
10 min. Allow to cool
7. Combine chocolate and 2g butter
together. Spread over filling.
Chill to set.
8. Cut carefully into squares. (Use
a knife dipped in hot water to
cut through the chocolate)
