Fluffy Hard Sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon boiling water
- 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
Cream butter in mixing bowl.
Gradually add sugar; continue beating until light and fluffy.
Blend in salt, boiling water and vanilla.
(An egg yolk may be beaten in with the butter and sugar. The egg white, which has been beaten stiff, is then added at the end.)
Chill until serving time.
For Brandy hard sauce, add two table-spoons brandy flavor.
