- 3 3/4 CUPS BREAD FLOUR
- 1 1/2 TBSP BAKING POWDER
- 1 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
- 1 1/4 TSP SALT
- 1/2 CUP CHILLED BUTTER CUT INTO CUBES
- 2 /2 CUPS GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE, ABOUT 12 OZ
- 1 3/4 CUPS BUTTERMILK

PREHEAT OVEN TO 425 DEGREEES
BRUSH 12 LARGE MUFFIN CUPS WITH SOME OF MELTED BUTTER, SAVING SOME FOR BAKED BISCUITS.
MIX NEXT 4 INGREDIENTS, ADD CHILLED BUTTER UNTIL COARSE MEAL FORMS.
TRANSFER TO LARGE BOWL, ADD CHEESE, TOSS TO COMBINE.
ADD BUTTERMILK AND STIR JUST TO BLEND. IT WILL BE STICKY.
SCOOP INTO MUFFIN CUPS.
BAKE UNTIL GOLDEN, ABOUT 25-30 MINUTES.
BRUSH WITH REMAINING MELTED BUTTER.
