Ingredients
- For the Spicy Thousand Island Dressing:
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20, grass fed
- 1/2 lb Johnsonville Italian sausage
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tbsp. creole seasoning
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tbsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tbsp. smoked paprika
- thousand island dressing (recipe below)
- lettuce
- tomato
- cheese
- 1 c. Hellmann's Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. sambal
- 1 tbsp. sriracha
- 1 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. relish
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. creole seasoning
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all dressing ingredients together, chill until ready to use.
Remove sausage from casing and place into a large bowl, add ground beef, mix the seasoning and reserve 2 teaspoons, add the remaining seasonings to burger meat and mix well.
Form burgers into balls and flatten with hands to get a perfect round. Season both sides of formed burgers with reserved seasoning.
In a hot skillet over medium heat add oil, place burgers in skillet and fry about 6-7 minutes per side, until desired doneness is achieved. Top with cheese, cover pot with lid until cheese melts.
Assemble burger by lightly toasting bun in a little butter, top bun with dressing, place lettuce, tomatoes, burger, top bun and eat!
