Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 c walnuts chopped
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 jello instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c cold water
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 1/2 c rum
  • Glaze:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/2 c rum

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325

Cake:
Sprinkle into bottom of greased/floured bundt pan chopped walnuts.

In bowl, mix together yellow cake mix, instant vanilla pudding, eggs, cold water, oil and rum. Pour over walnuts in bundt pan.

Bake 1 hour and pull out from oven. Allow to cool slightly and remove from bundt pan onto cake dish. Poke holes in cake to allow for glaze.

Glaze:
Melt butter in saucepan. Once butter is melted, mix in water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, remove and allow to cool. Add rum and stir. Take turkey baster and squeeze glaze into each poked hole. Squeeze additional glaze over entire cake.
