Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cream , (whipping or heavy whipping)
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 loaf challah or French bread, sliced into 1-inch slices (6 to 8 pieces)
- 2 bananas, sliced
- honey, for drizzling
Preparation
Step 1
In a blender, add the eggs, cream, peanut butter, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Pour the dipping batter into a low, wide bowl.
Heat a griddle or large skillet to medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon butter.
Dip bread slices into the batter (both sides) and place into the heated pan. Cook until the first side of the French toast is lightly browned (about 3 minutes), then flip and cook the other side an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until lightly browned on that side too. Remove the French toast to a platter, and continue the process with the remaining ingredients until you run out of batter.
Plate the French toast and top with bananas and a drizzle of honey.
*If you prefer syrup, use that in place of honey.
