Meatloaf

This traditional meatloaf recipe is a perfect weeknight supper. Serve with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and some steamed veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (more if meat is fatty)
  • Black pepper
  • Ketchup

Preparation

Step 1

Mix beef, milk, egg, salt and breadcrumbs and shape into loaf. Sprinkle black pepper on top.

Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and top with ketchup. Return meatloaf to the oven and bake for 15 more minutes.

Remove from oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
