Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 box strawberry Jell-O
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
DIRECTIONS:
Blend together cake mix and gelatin. Add oil and milk and beat. Add eggs one at a time and beat again until eggs are well-blended.
Fold in the berries, coconut and pecans.
Pour into 3 cake pans, greased and dusted with flour.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. You can also bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Frosting:
½ cup coconut
1 stick butter, melted
½ cup pecans
1 (1 lb) box powdered sugar
1½ cups drained strawberries, sliced
(a little juice may be needed)
Mix together and spread on cake layers when cool or on top of cake in long pan.
