Ingredients

  • 4 loin or center cut pork chops, 11/2 inch thick
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon flour

Preparation

Step 1

DIRECTIONS:
Sprinkle chops lightly with salt and pepper. Brown on both sides in oil in a heavy skillet. Remove chops to casserole or baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over chops. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour; remove cover, turn chops, and bake an addition ½ hour. Makes 4 servings.

Note: (I substitute boneless chicken breasts instead of the pork chops and it is one of Jeff’s favorite dishes)
