Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb round or cube steak, about 1/2 “thick
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 tbs oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 4 oz can slice mushrooms, drained
- 1 c. beef broth
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbs butter
- 2 tbs flour
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together the ¼ cup of flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cut steak into 6 pieces. Dredge steak pieces in seasoned flour until lightly coated. Brown steak pieces in oil.
Layer half of onions, half of steak, and half of mushrooms in crock pot. Repeat.
Combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; pour over mixture in crock pot. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Remove steak to serving plate and keep warm.
In sauce pan melt butter, add 2 tablespoons of flour and cook 1 minute. Stir in drippings and cook on low until thickened. Pour over steak.
