Hungarian Goulash

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef - stew meat or cubed roast
- 1 lb onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp paprika
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 c water (enough to cover meat)
- 8 oz crushed tomatoes, drained
- cooked rice or noodles

Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat in a little olive oil. Remove from pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook until transparent. Add meat back to pan and cover with water. Add paprika, salt and pepper.
Reduce on stove or put in a crock pot.
Can add fresh button mushrooms if desired.
A half hour before serving add tomatoes.
Serve with bread or over rice or noodles.
