Ingredients

  • 1 Package (16 oz) Ziti
  • 2 Jars of Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 Cup (8 oz) Sour Cream
  • 2 Eggs, Lightly Beaten
  • 1 (16 oz) Cottage Cheese or Ricotta Cheese
  • 1/2 C Parmesan Cheese, Divided
  • 1/4 C Romano Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 1/2 C Shredded, Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 C Minced Fresh Parsley
  • 1 Pound Ground Hot Sausage
  • 1 Large Onion , Chooped

Preparation

Step 1

Cook ziti according to package directions; drain and return to the pan. Stir in Alfredo sauce and sour cream. Spoon half into a lightly greased 3 qt baking dish.
Cook sausage and onion until sausage is done and onion is tender.
In a small bowl, combine the eggs, ricotta cheese and parsley; spread over pasta. Top with remaining pasta mixture; sprinkle with mozzarella and remaining parmesan
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes; bake 5-10 minutes longer or until bubbly.

Note: I like to use Pepper Jack Cheese and 6 Cheese Italian to get a ziti with more heat.
