Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. finely minced green onion
  • 2 tbsp. finely minced fresh dill
  • 2 tbsp. finely minced fresh parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 large crusty Italian bread loaf
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. In nonstick skillet, heat butter and oil over medium heat. Cook onion x 2 minutes, add dill, parsley, and garlic, and cook x 2 minutes or until wilted. Stir in pepper flakes, let cool.
2. Preheat grill on medium. Cut bread in half lengthwise. Toast cut-side down x 2 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from grill and spread each half with butter mixture. Sprinkle with cheese, return to grill and heat for 3-4 minutes or until underside is toasted. Remove and slice.
