  • Sauce Mix:
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups very thinly sliced, diced potatoes or hash
  • browns
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brown meat in a large skillet; drain
2. Add hot water, milk, sour cream and potatoes
3. Add spices; bring to a boil
4. Cover and simmer over low heat for 12 minutes until
potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally
5. Stir in mushrooms the last rew minutes of cooking;
cover
6. Turn off heat, uncover and let stand 5 minutes. It will
thicken as it stands
