- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3 tablespoons poppy seed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1
preheat oven to 350
combine flour, sugar, baking powder. salt, and poppy seeds in a large bowl until well blended.
in a small bowl, beat eggs slightly. stir in milk, butter, and vanilla. add egg mixture to flour mixture. stir until moistened.
turn batter into a greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan. bake 60-70 minutes.
cool bread 10 minutes in the pan on wire rack.
makes 1 loaf
