Chocolate Caramel Brownies

A box of cake mix gets you started on this tempting chocolate dessert. Mix up some Chocolate Caramel Brownies and enjoy the sinful sensation created by the gooey chocolate-covered caramels. Mmm!

- 1 (18.24 oz) German or other chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 (7 oz) packages chocolate caramels (Reisens’s)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Coat a 9x13 pan with nonstick spray.
3. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, 1/3
cup evaporated milk and pecans; stirring with a
spoon until a dough forms.
4. Press half the dough into the pan and bake for 6
minutes.
5. In a medium pan over medium heat, melt the
caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk, stirring
frequently.
6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on warm crust
7. Spread caramel on chips; crumble rest of dough on
top
8. Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and chill for 1 hour
(yeah right!)
