Preparation

Step 1

Follow the directions on the box on making the pancake batter. If you need a bigger batch, just again, follow the pancake batter mixture. Add a few dashes of Frank's Hot sauce to give it a little punch if you'd like.

Stir the batter to get the lumps out.

Bring a couple of inches of canola oil in a tall heavy skillet on the stove top to medium high heat. (approx 360°)

Dip the pickle spears in the pancake batter.

Carefully place into the heated oil, turning carefully, and frying until golden brown on all sides, about 3 - 5 minutes.

Take out and drain on paper-towels. Add some salt and pepper while they are very hot.

Serve piping hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
◊ Spicy Ranch
◊ Honey Mustard Dressing
◊ Blue Cheese Dressing
