Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder one cup at a time. Dough will be very stiff. Do not chill. Add water if dough is too stiff.
Roll out to 1/8" thickness. Dip cookie cutters in flour before using. Bake at 400F on ungreased cookie sheets on top rack of oven for 6-7 minutes or until lightly browned.
