Ingredients

1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar. Add egg, vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture and mix to a smooth dough.

Force thru cookie press, forming various shapes. Decorate with colored sugar if desired. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven (400F) about 8-10 minutes.
