Ingredients
- 1 cup (1/4 pound) mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion (1 medium)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 cup half & half
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

Step 1
Slice mushrooms through cap and stem; cook with 2 tablespoons onion in butter for 5 minutes. Blend in flour, add broth. Cook; stir until slightly thickened. Cool slightly; add half & half and seasonings. Heat through; serve at once.
