  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 c sugar
  • 1 tsp shortening
  • 1 pkg ( 1 Tbs) yeas1 c warm water
  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • shortening for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Combine salt, sugar, shortening, and yeast in warm wagter. Add flour and knead until light and fluffy. Let raise 1 hour or until double in size. Roll to 1/2 in. thick. Cut into small pieces and Let raise 30 minutes. Fry in oil or shortening. Serve warm with butter, honey, jelly, etc.
