Potato Soup

Cook vegetables in water until tender
- 1 cup coarsely chopped carrots
- 2 cup chopped potatoes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1-1/2 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- l can cream of celery soup
- 1 cup cheese or 8oz Cheese Whiz
Russian Tea Cakes

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2-1/4 cups Gold Medal Flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
Stuffing

This stuffing is made outside of the turkey in a baking dish
- 12 cups dry bread cubes, about 28 slices of bread
- 3/4 cup finely minced onion
- 1-1/2 cups chopped celery, stalks & leaves
- 1 cup margarine
- 3 eggs (optional)
- 4 10 oz. cans chicken broth
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- Optional
- 1/2 tbs. sage
- 1/2 tbs. poultry seasoning
Peanut Butter Cookies

Cream shortening & peanut butter well
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Crock Pot Roast of Beef

Put vegetables in bottom of crock pot
- 3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 large carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 to 4 pound pot roast, brisket or rump roast
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can French onion soup
Buckeyes (Peanut Butter Drops)

This recipe comes to us compliments of Linda Elliott
- Mix these 3 ingredients until well blended:
- 2 cups crunchy peanut butter
- 4 cups confectioners’ sugar until well blended
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- Melt these 3 ingredients in a double boiler:
- 6 or 8 oz. Hershey chocolate bar
- 1 small package chocolate chips
- 1/2 bar wax
Chicken Rivel Soup

Place 4 boneless chicken breast in a large pot
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg beaten
Beef with Broccoli and Carrots Stir Fry

If the beef is not precut, cut beef across the grain into thin slices 1/8" by 2" long
- 1 lb. beef steak - flank is preferred (can often find it precut for stir fry)
- 4 tbs. Szechuan Stir Fry Sauce
- 1 tbs. corn starch
- 3 Stalks fresh broccoli - about four cups or one pound
- 2 Carrots
- 4 tbs. garlic and ginger stir fry oil (sometimes called wok oil)
- 1/4 cup water
Butterscotch Thins

Melt morsels and butter. Remove from heat and beat in sugar, egg, and vanilla
- 1 6 oz. pkg. butterscotch morsels
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1-1/3 cups sifted flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts
