Chocolate Ginger Bread Pudding

1. Butter bottom and sides of a shallow 2 qt
- 1 loaf brioche or challah ( 10 to 12 ounces)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup cream ( I used heavy cream)
- 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 tbsp. diced crystallized ginger, plus slivers for serving (optional)
- Confectioners' sugar or heavy cream
Pistachio Pudding Dessert

Mix butter, flour, nuts; press into 9x13 inch pan
- Pie crust:
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- Layer 1:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8oz) cream cheese
- 1 cup cool whip
- Layer 2:
- 2 regular sized pkgs instant pistachio pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
- Topping:
- cool whip
- chopped almonds
Red Wine Vinaigrette

Combine all ingredients in a glass jar with a screw-on lid
- 1/2 cup red wine (or red wine vinegar)
- 1 1/2 cups olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 clove garlic, crushed
Bacon Quiche

Preheat oven to 375 F. In a small bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, salt and pepper

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 slices cooked bacon, finely chopped or 1/4 cup chopped cooked ham
- 1 1/2 cups milk (or half and half)
- 8 ounces shredded Cheddar
- 1/2 cup self-rising flour

- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup fresh chives, minced

- 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
